Stunning apex curtains

Some windows demand a little more imagination—and I love that.

In this recent project, I created two bespoke apex curtains for two beautiful homes in East Anglia, one in a bedroom and one in a sitting room.

Both windows had unusual shapes, and rather than hide them, I designed curtains that celebrated their character.

Shaped to Fit, Styled to Shine

The bedroom curtain was made using a soft, elegant fabric from Prestigious Textiles, chosen to complement the calming tones of the space. For the sitting room, we selected a bright Sanderson print that added warmth and charm. Each curtain was carefully shaped to follow the apex of the window, creating a seamless finish that enhanced the architectural features of the window.

To ensure comfort, practicality and to give a perfect finish, I interlined both curtains. This helped reduce light—especially important in the bedroom—and added a layer of insulation, which is always welcome in homes across Norfolk and Suffolk.

Bespoke Solutions for Challenging Spaces

Apex windows can be tricky, but with the right design approach, they remain a highlight of a room. I worked closely with the client to understand how each room was used and how the light moved through the space. The result was two beautifully tailored curtains that not only solved a practical challenge but elevated the look and feel of the home.
