The perfect pairing
Such a lovely pairing with this Designer Guild fabric and Byron and Byron pole. I’m delighted with the finished result for this room. Just stunning.
Creating soft furnishings that feel both luxurious and personal is always a joy. For this recent project in Epping, Essex, just outside London, I was asked to design a set of bespoke curtains for a beautifully styled sitting room. The client wanted something that felt refined yet full of character—and I knew just the combination to bring that vision to life.
A Perfect Pairing of Fabric and Finish
We selected a stunning Designers Guild fabric, chosen for its rich texture and elegant drape. It brought depth and softness to the room, complementing the existing palette while adding a touch of sophistication.
To complete the look, we paired the curtains with a hand painted Bryon & Bryon pole, finished with intricate flower finials that added a subtle decorative flourish. These details may be small, but they make a big impact—especially in a sitting room where every element contributes to the overall atmosphere.
Designed for Style and Flow
The curtains were made to measure, ensuring a perfect fit and graceful movement. Whether drawn or open, they frame the windows beautifully and help soften the light, creating a warm and inviting space for relaxing or entertaining.
MORE Projects

It’s not everyday you get asked to do Apex curtains and recently I have been lucky enough to work on two lovely projects and I was thrilled with the results as were my lovely clients.

A fantastic seating area for this summer. I was very reluctant to let these go but they look superb in their new home.

If you had an orangery how would you dress it? This lovely client went for a big bold embroidered pattern, which we managed to follow the design perfectly across the room.
